What Platform Should I Use for My Website?

Choosing a website platform can feel overwhelming — especially when everyone has a strong opinion.

The truth is: there’s no “best” platform, only the right one for your business.

Here’s how I usually explain it to clients.

Wix – simple and quick

Good for:

  • Small businesses

  • DIY updates

  • Straightforward sites

  • Things to consider:

  • Less design flexibility

  • Can feel restrictive as your business grows

Webflow – clean, modern, powerful

Good for:

  • Businesses that care about design

  • Performance and SEO

  • Long-term scalability

  • Things to consider:

  • Not designed for full DIY building

  • Usually best when managed by a designer

  • 👉 This is my go-to platform for most client projects.

WordPress – flexible but maintenance-heavy

Good for:

  • Content-heavy sites

  • Blogs and large CMS setups

Things to consider:

  • Requires updates and maintenance

  • Plugins can cause issues if unmanaged

So which should you choose?

Ask yourself:

  • Do I want to update it myself?

  • Do I care more about simplicity or flexibility?

  • Is this a short-term or long-term site?

If you’re unsure, that’s completely normal — choosing the platform is part of the service I offer.

👉 I’ll always recommend what’s right for you, not what’s trendy.
